When the sun goes down
and the birds of the night
sing sonorous songs
that lures a baby to sleep
and tickles the hunter's ear
at his favorite palm wine
joint, you'd glow and let
the moon stare jealously.
Moping Mary Martha
would whistle to beckon
on Rhoda Rhombus that
returned from Rome to
join her behold the
beauty of a goddess for
she might go blind if she
see this alone.
She remembers her
people says that a man
that sees a python alone
and runs to tell the
community would be
called a liar and that he
had just seen a lizard.
Men marvel at your
beauty, kings kneel at
your sight, gods lose
their powers and bow.
Mirror, Mirror on the wall,
who's the prettiest of
them all? The one that
glows at night when the
sun goes down and when
the sun comes up, she
reminds the sun that
even in its brightest, it is
but a flicker of light
compared to her.
I hear her name's Ixora.

Beautiful as usual
